+====== The Family of William B. Paulson and Edith A. Nelson ======
 +
+This booklet was compiled by Robert A. De Lorenzo, a member of the Tri-city Genealogical Society (TCGS), as a project for a class sponsored by TCGS regarding Advanced Internet Genealogy. Mr. De Lorenzo is not related to the families described herein.
 +
+At the first session of the above mentioned class, each attendee was given a sheet from a school census conducted in the Benton County (WA) school districts. One entry on the sheet was highlighted, signifying the assigned family for the attendee’s project. My assigned family was the Paulson family; four Paulson children were attending school in School District No. 2, (Delmar, Ethel, Zona and Alvin) and their father, W.B. Paulson had signed to certify that the information entered on the form we correct. The census form was dated May 1, 1920.
 +
+I then searched for the W.B. Paulson family on the 1920 U.S. Federal Census; I utilized my membership on the website Ancestry.com for this research. Another Paulson child (Amy) was listed on that census. I also researched the 1930 U.S. Federal Census; the last Paulson child (Harvey N.) was listed therein. The entire William B. Paulson family is shown on the enclosed Family Group Sheet.
 +
+In looking at the 1910 U.S. Federal Census, I found that the sister of William B. Paulson, namely Clara A. Paulson, was living with her brother and his family at that time.  Therefore I researched the 1900 U.S. Federal Census in Minnesota for Clara Paulson, to find a family in which both William and Clara Paulson appeared as children in that family. I found them in the family of Hans Paulson in Blooming Prairie, Steele County, MN. Hans Paulson's mother-in-law, Mary Jergerson (aged 68), also we living with the family at that time. The entire Hans Paulson family is shown on the enclosed Family Group Sheet.
 +
+The 1930 U.S. Federal Census also revealed that Delmar had married by that time. His spouse's name was listed as Norvell, and they had a child named Jeannie N. Paulson.
 +
+The Washington State Digital Archives revealed the death date of William B. Paulson as 26 January 1951 at age 68. His mother's name was listed on that record as Mary Hansen.  These same records revealed the death date of Delmar William Paulson as 27 February 1946, and it also listed his mother's name as Edith A. Nelson.
 +
+The Social Security Death Index revealed that Edith Paulson had died in January 1975 in Seattle, King County, WA. Her birth date we listed as 29 December, 1884.
 +
+The 1900 U.S. Federal Census revealed Edith Nelson in the family of Nels and Jana Nelson, in Spanaway, Pierce County, WA. The birth date for Edith Nelson was also listed as December, 1884. At that time, Edith had two brothers, Emil A. and Albert N. Nelson. Edith and Emil had been born in Minnesota and Albert had been born in WA.  The entire known Nels Nelson family is shown on the enclosed Family Group Sheet.
